ROAD AND BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION DUST COLLECTOR
A low-profile dust collector that doesn't come with the usual headaches associated with mobile dust collectors commonly used on road and bridge renovation projects
A low-profile dust collector that doesn't come with the usual headaches associated with mobile dust collectors commonly used on road and bridge renovation projects
BlueSky mobile dust collectors are incorporated in roll-off container kits, which allows for large quantities of dust collection (10 cubic yards before needing to be dumped). They can also be fitted with completely sealed SmartBox modules, should the waste be hazardous. With that option, the filters and dust are both sealed inside the SmartBox module, so no person ever needs to touch the filters or the dust. Instead, the entire SmartBox is replaced. This can be done in minutes without bringing workers or the environment in contact with dust.
What you don't get is the usual headaches of having to deal with auger jams (it doesn't have one), or a cumbersome filter change-out procedure and/or waste handling. A BlueSky dust collector does not have its duct inlets inconveniently located high above the ground. A BlueSky also does not have an incorporated diesel engine that can be noisy and leaky (ours can be powered by a modern, quiet, external generator). All these benefits add up to fewer headaches and substantial cost savings
A BlueSky® road and bridge construction dust collector can induce an airflow rate of up to 60.000 m³/Hr (40,000 SCFM) and has 2 tons of dust capacity.

Dust collectors, short-term & long-term rentals
We offer industrial dust collectors as short-term rentals, as well as long-term rentals. Each size in the BlueSky® Gladiator® line-up is expandable, even after it has been put in place. This is done by simply adding another section. This need may arise when a project unexpectedly requires HEPA filtration or when a project needs to handle more dust than anticipated.

An estimated 26%–53% of COPD can be attributed to occupational exposures
National surveys have shown that exposure to dust, grain dust, organic dust, inorganic dust, fumes, hydrogen sulfide, diesel exhaust, environmental tobacco smoke, and chemicals increases the risk for COPD morbidity and mortality. — CDC (Centers for Disease Control)
The various SmartBox options
Safety. The optional use of a sealed (instead of open) SmartBox adds an extra layer of safety, essential when lead, asbestos, or other dangerous dust is present.
HEPA Filtration. When a sealed SmartBox is used, combined with (optional) HEPA filters, the collected dust and filters are locked together inside the SmartBox (sits in the blue carrier) —so personnel never needs to touch dangerous dust or dirty filters.
Dust control systems for road and bridge construction sites
Dust control systems can be difficult to operate on road or bridge construction sites because of limited space and limited access. Because of the low-profile design, unique to a BlueSky mobile dust collector, a lot of time-consuming service-work associated with traditional dust collectors can be done in a lot less time or avoided altogether.
Dust collector delivered on a roll off truck, for ultimate mobility
BlueSky® mobile dust collectors are ideal as a temporary solution for road and bridge construction and repair projects. BlueSky® mobile dust collectors are quickly set up because they are transported using a standard container roll-off truck. This means they can be placed at any location for worry-free short-term or long-term use.
